Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone praised how determined Antoine Griezmann was when Atleti won 3-0 over Olympique Marseille in the 2017-2018 Europa League final held in Lyon. Simeone also hope Griezmann will decide to stay at the Vicente Calderon next season.
Griezmann scored two of Atletico Madrid's three goals in the Europa League final. The brilliance of the Frenchman in the final game made himself his first ever major trophy with the Spanish capital team.
Praising the important role of the French striker, who is rumored to leave from Atletico Madrid next summer, Simeone also expressed his hope that Griezmann would survive. The Argentine coach looked at the possibility of Atletico won the trophy again early next season.
"Griezmann today confirmed what he can do year after year, he is decisive in the most important moments of the game, I hope he is happy to play with us," Simeone said as quoted by Reuters.
"He played in three final games with us and managed to win two of them Now we are in the European Super Cup so he can play in four final matches with us So for the sport level we are not too far from the clubs that have more power than us, "continued the Atletico Madrid coach.
Griezmann has been Atletico Madrid's leading scorer in every season since joining from Real Sociedad in 2014. Griezmann has also been the most prominent player before the Europa League final, where speculation says he will end his four years together at Atletico Madrid by joining Barcelona .
"It's a decision he will take, whatever he decides, I will be happy because he gave his life to us, and if he survives, I will be very happy and if he leaves I will be grateful for everything he has done with us. Simeone.

Fernando Torres Make sure to Go from Atletico Madrid
The Spanish player is the original product dropout academy Los Rojiblancos. He has been a part of Atletico since 1995 and done his debut with the first team in 2001. In 2007, Torres moved to Liverpool.

"I have always enjoyed Atletico in my dreams, I would like to say this season will be my last season at the club, it's not an easy decision but I have to take it," Torres said.
